A few Photos

Not a 19th Bird

The one on the left is believed, the original example of the Official Approved by Walt Disney for use by the 19th Logistics Support Squadron. The one on the right was given to me by Leland Sanders who was in the 19th Logistics Support Squadron (LSS) in the early/mid 1950s and Assistant Crew Chief on 51-108. This patch is an early original and matches the black&white image, Dumbo's trunk going over the log as it should, unlike that of the many later and I might add, incorrectly depicted, with Dumbo's trunk going under the log.

Below, This was the final home of the 19th Logistics Support Squadron at Kelly AFB, Texas. It began just west of this location before the new runway was built. It was moved to this location in the late 1950's and remained here until the unit was disbanded I believe in late 1969 or early 1970.

My New Hat, received today, July 1st, 2009 from William E. Woods.
Thank you sir, Speedy.

The Birdcage
How many of these did you carry?
If I remember correctly
A Pickup load was all we could carry.
